How to characterize what is abstract and what by default is product of the authors thought and emotional process?

By looking at the painting, surrealism is evident. We might presume that this is the marsh of the struggles one have to endure to find what is far away. Nomen est omen, but even without naming this art, there is strong need for finding what is behind the hill. The background white light in upper left quadrant of the painting indicates that the goal is there. Is there an ark that hides clues? The ark of solace?
Predominant blue colors in the painting have high impact, we do not know if the light is fading away or increasing. Are we feeling cold because we can't find the way or are we warm because we are on the right path? Green vines and few green squares subtlety cancel potential monotony caused by the blue color.

Brush strokes produced fine and homogeneous textures (specially seen on the dominant tree in the foreground). They characterize author as skilled artist, as can be seen from hers other Deviations.

There area few puzzles that artist skillfully employed to provide surrealism, and to distance herself from realism. Are those leafs on the vines or butterflies? If they are former, we are stuck in one place. If they are latter, the one who looks at the painting is in positive motion.
I didn't understand why the artist put a large white spot in the upper part. It seemed to me that it was redundant. Then it hit me: it's the spark that gave life to the art (try to cover white spot and you'll see what I'm talking about).
What puzzles me is why is there "dripping" motive in the left half and in the upper right corner or why are there so many squares? I guess that's why this belong to the category of surreal abstract, not in realism.

The only minor thing that can be improved is the background which I perceive as the wall. Because of its rather uniform color it can look as a flat surface.

In comparison to the authors other paintings, "Far away" is relatively simpler but by no means less fascinating or intriguing.
