When I saw this for the first time, I had an impression it was an excellently made digital art. Photoshop can certainly do miracles - and more. However, as I looked better, checked the category and the description, I realised my mistake at once.

A painting!!
And an excellently made one!

So strong a message, so beautiful colours, so excellent an idea and effects... this is really unique, I must admit and it had definitely caught my attention.

The idea of a portal through the painting is beautifully composed into this piece. The tree and the road within the painting have already put roots down, giving us the feeling that they would definitely be there in centuries to come - if not even more.

The architecture indicates to a place forgotten long time ago. Personally, it reminds me of ancient Roman aqueducts which are no longer in use but serve as a reminder of days gone by - what a beautiful place to put your portal in! And the motive of destruction... it is really strongly presented with the ''tearing'' of the ground. It is almost as if this world would be destroyed for the other one to be preserved...

It definitely gives the feeling of ''steadiness''. Even if the ground tumbled, I have the feeling the roots would still be there. Beautiful!
